Removing fear is IMPORTANT in birth! I want you to be so ready for baby and this new portion of life that you are ready for anything!

I will be your cheerleader, confidant and powerhouse of praise during this process. Cracking jokes, meaningful touch and offering the non medical terminology that helps you understand what is happening in your space.

At home or at the hospital I will be with you and make sure you always are heard, respected and honored. This is your birth and your time to shine!

I never replace a partner, spouse or family member. It is my mission to make sure the space stays focused on you and your goals. There might be a time where I tell grandma or husband to help out or stop interfering. I am the birth bestie along for the ride and listening for your cues. If there is a reason to pivot I want you to have all the options and be ready for that change.

The birth space is a private and sacred space. I work hard to follow your cues and curate a space that enables your body and babies birth to flow smoothly.

“ The framing of economic accessibility is important but it’s not the whole story. I have a conversation about my sliding scale with all of my clients, including those who are at the top of the scale.

What I tell all of my clients in person and what I’ll tell you here is that, for me, the sliding scale is also about trust.

I understand that hiring me means trusting me with an incredibly intimate part of their life. Offering a sliding scale is one way I express trust in my clients: I trust that they have thought about the value of my support and also that they are experts in their own finances and can come to a decision that reflects both.

Sliding scales are about trust, they are about economic justice, they are about acknowledging that people are more than their financial reality and that we don't need to be ashamed to talk about money.”

Like many doulas in this world we see that not everyone has access to the same opportunities. Offering a sliding scale allows for all to access birth support. Economic Accessibility to birth support is important and it should not be a barrier to a safer birth.
